TonyMoly Pokémon Cushion Blush in #03 Peach Orange First Impressions Review
TonyMoly released a Pokemon collaboration with cushions, lip tints, eyeshadow palettes, nail polishes and cushion blushes. I’m not necessarily a Pokemon fan but this was just too cute not to buy! The blush in particular had great reviews and the colour looked pretty so I had to try it!
It come's in the usual cushion packaging, which can be a bit bulky and hard to store. It's very lightweight and small though. Since it's so pleasing to look at, I like to store it on the top of my desk where I can see it.
The puff is extremely adorable, it's a small poke ball! I found it really to easy to use and found it blended out the blush nicely. I see a lot of people using cushions incorrectly, so make sure when using you're using a cushion product that you're patting it onto your cheeks and not swiping it on. It applied the blush evenly without disturbing my foundation. Using the puff, you can really achieve a strong wash of colour or create a more sheer look. I recommend washing it often since it directly touches your face and can harbour bacteria.
When I first dabbed into the cushion blush, it didn’t seem like there would be a lot of pigment but when I actually tapped it onto my skin, I was shocked at how pigmented it was!
The formula itself is really nice. Generally, I don’t like cream blushes because I find them hard to blend, but this one is a liquid formula. It goes on very easily and gives the skin a healthy, glowy finish. It's quite bendable and can be built up in colour. It takes a little while to dry down, but once it does it feels very lightweight.
I got the shade #03 Peach Orange. The colour is absolutely gorgeous. The pictures don’t do it justice. In person, it looks like a light orangey-peachy colour. I was scared it would be too orange, as I saw in pictures, however it's not. I really love this colour on my tan skin tone. I usually don't like the look of blush on myself since my skin is pink enough already, but this shade really suits my complexion. It is quite pale though, as you can see from the swatch below, so if you're a darker skin tone, this might be too pale for you. The camera wasn't picking up the colour so in the picture you almost can't even see the colour, but in person you can defiantly noticeable.
Overall, I really enjoyed this product. I got it because of the packaging, but I ended up enjoying the blush! This product is really going to brighten up my mornings! I really recommend it to everyone. I ordered mine from eBay for about $12(CAD).
This is a limited edition collection but apparently this product is a repackaging of their regular cushion blushes. It comes in a total of 3 shades as you can see below. I really wish they would expand their shade range.
